We are proud to help support scouting in Chattanooga, Tennessee. I had the opportunity to become a Bear Den leader this past year for Pack 3271. We meet at Normal Park Museum Magnet School. My son Alex is in my den and we had the best father-son time doing it together. Mom also went to den meetings. I look forward to continuing with Webelos this coming scouting year.
This past year Artisan Construction, LLC provided materials for crafts such as bird houses and tools boxes. My project manager Eric Bischoff, pitched in and we built the tool box kits that we later assembled in our den meeting. Artisan also provided paper and drawing supplies, notebooks and journals for the Bear Cubs. We purchased a US flag and a Cub Scout flag for our Pack and material for our bear cubs to create their own super secret den flag.
In total we provided over $1,200 in materials and labor. We are not boasting but we are proud of our support and want to share it with the community. It has been both a learning experience and a blessing working with these fine young men. I look forward again this coming year to supporting scouting in Chattanooga by providing materials and labor for our up-coming first year Webelos den.
Thanks to Andy Berke for helping us obtain a US flag for Normal Park Museum Magnet School that has been flown over the state capitol. Our Cub Scout Pack 3271 will hold a flag raising ceremony to replace the worn flag that flies there now. We will also hold a flag retirement ceremony for the current flag. I will post the date of the ceremony as soon as we confirm the date.
Artisan Construction, LLC is donating and will install a solar powered light that will mount to the flag pole and illumninate the flag at night. This will eliminate the need to lower the flag at dusk as required by US Flag etiquette.
