Frank Lloyd Wright said “Regard it as just as desirable to build a chicken house as to build a cathedral”.
I think Jeffrey’s old house is certainly in top quintile of that scale.

I love that old house feel.  If it were not for my Funky Bungalow I would be searching out an old house to restore.  Of course wife number two might not appreciate it but hey, that’s why the number line is so long, just kidding honey!

Jeffrey Cross, along with his wife and children, live in this beautiful old home in St. Elmo. For those not familiar with Chattanooga, St. Elmo is a historic neighborhood located south of

downtown Chattanooga.  It is filled with beautiful old homes that have character we can only try to replicate with new construction.

Our project involved the first phase of replacing the old brick pier system with a new continuous concrete block and brick foundation.  Of course with all renovation projects of this type, we also ran into some rotten framing and sheathing that needed to be replaced.  We also milled custom siding and trim to match to replace the original where the weather had finally taken its toll.

God bless you Jeffrey!  The world needs more of you to save our priceless old home stock.  Thanks for letting us be involved in your project.  As artisans this is our “cup of tea”.
