I must say, Charles and Lina look good and are outstanding in their field :)

We are going to town, sorry for all the cliché’s, but we are really making progress and its very exciting.  After 28 years in the business I am still moved by seeing the structure of a building erected to its complete shell.

The SIP’s add to the affect due to their efficient design.   I have been asked before about the pros and cons of SIP’s.  The first question seems to always be “isn’t the crane expensive”?  The cost of the crane is offset by the amount of production accomplished in a few days.

A crew of four for a few extra days would add about the same cost as renting the crane.  In the long run, it’s worth it plus there is value added through the ability to have better workmanship because the crew is able to concentrate on installing the panels and not lifting and supporting the weight.

You also have to remember the safety factor; having a 300lb roof panel fall on your head would put you in a bad mood.

Our next step will be to frame the wraparound porch.  This will not be just any porch; this porch will be constructed using steel columns and beams and have an interesting rail design. I can’t wait to show it to you!
